Our work and vision define Qualtrics as the Experience Management company. We are looking for designers in Reston, VA to join our passionate group of builders. Our leaders and customers expect and encourage us to push the boundaries of what an enterprise product could be, envisioning across all platforms to directly impact the product roadmap and our customer’s goals.

About the Role

XM Discover is looking for a UX Designer II who possesses a passion for great design, an exceptional eye for detail, and a deep appreciation for user experience in data analysis, to scale with our high velocity design team. This candidate must be comfortable developing multiple iterations of wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes to explore new ideas and product concepts. Because Qualtrics provides SaaS offerings that are already in use, the candidate must be able to simultaneously visualize a future-state UX design as well as intermediate steps needed to get there from the present state. The ideal candidate will have significant UI/UX design experience for data analytics providers and possess the ability to quickly grasp and distill highly complex matters into clean, understandable solutions. 

A Day in the Life

• Be a thought partner to Product Management in crafting experiences across XM Discover
• Understand and visually articulate the product vision, problem definition and opportunity 
• Deliver UX flows, wireframes, high fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, design specifications, and final components. 
• Translate user needs and requirements into elegant solutions, concepts and interaction models that scale and fit within larger established systems and patterns.
• Work closely with business analysts and internal and external stakeholders in driving user goals  
• Collaborate with a tight-knit agile team of designers and engineers

About You

• 3+ years as an information architect, user experience or interaction designer.
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related fields such as Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Visual Arts, or Computer Science.
• Have shipped and maintained multiple products and features with an online portfolio that showcases this work and your process.
• Solid visual and UI design skills to create concepts and prototypes.
• High-level attention to detail for design documentation 
• Experience with responsive design/scalable design and native mobile applications
• Familiar with data visualization technologies such as D3, Highcharts, and Tableau 
• Experience with the following programs: Figma, Sketch, Invision, Mural, Abstract (plus Jira and Github)
• Experience with the following languages is a big plus but not required: xHTML, CSS, HTML5, Javascript, Jquery
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
• The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
