Automated Test Software Engineer (Onsite)

Raytheon Intelligence and Space, located in Richardson, Texas (Cityline) is looking for a candidate to join our world-class engineering team as Software Automated Test Engineer. The candidate is expected to be experienced in automation tools/techniques, test execution processes, and procedures supporting the release of software solutions. The selected candidate should also have a good foundation in scripting languages and testing applications. A demonstrable understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering should be within the experience scope of the candidate. The candidate must also demonstrate critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a team environment using agile development principles.  Must be able to work from within the Raytheon Technologies facility in Richardson, TX.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency developing troubleshooting applications and infrastructure for complex software solutions in Java on a LINUX or UNIX environments
• Experience with specific software test automation tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Cucumber, JSON, Cruise Control, Cucumber, Chef, or Puppet
• Experience using scripting languages such as JavaScript, Ruby or Python and familiarity with a JavaScript framework such as DOJO, AngularJS, jQuery, or Backbone.js
• Experience with test automation development and execution as well as manual test cases
• Experience with automated testing, build automation and dependency management tools
• Experience testing, integrating, and delivering applications within a DevSecOps framework Including
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience with building automated unit, regression, smoke, and integration tests for a complex software solution.
  • Experience with Agile and DevSecOps toolsets (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.)
  • Use of Helm and Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Technologies
  • Including the use of Infrastructure related AWS Services and related technologies such as Terraform/Ansible
  • Including the integration and use of AWS services with custom developed applications
• Understanding of Agile/SAFe execution methods
• Database knowledge/familiarity (e.g., JDBC, Postgres, MongoDB)
• Experience using a Software Development IDE (e.g., Eclipse or IntelliJ)
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Security+ Certification

Clearance:

• An active and in-scope TS/SCI US security clearance

Desired Skills:

• Performance Testing
• Experience performing Full Stack Development, including Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with RESTful services
• Development, inspection, and manipulation of XML, XSD, and WSDLs
• Experience using SOAP-based web services (interface definition, implementation, WS-Security)

Education Requirements: AA / AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
