Position summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking to hire an Operations Support Technician be an integral part of logistics operations at our site in Fort Worth, TX.

Location: ONSITE  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Daily activity will require excellent analytic skills, to analyze inventory management issues, working to determine root cause, and develop corrective actions; develop skills and analytic capability in the Inventory Control organization.
  • Analyze and reconcile inventory discrepancies and support monitoring of cycle and physical inventory counts.
  • Ability to read situations and make quick and logical decisions founded on MRP/ERP principles and broad understanding of the end-to-end supply chain value stream.
  • Identify areas where additional customer training and assistance are needed.
  • Conduct inventory management analysis and identify improvement opportunities by assessing current processes/practices.
  • Identify and lead/manage continuous improvement projects with regards to inventory management.
  • Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, industry practices, and standards related to inventory management through MRP/ERP system (SAP).
  • Identify and pursue cost reduction opportunities and process improvements to support business objectives.
  • Effectively communicate Inventory control policies and procedures to external and internal auditors.
  • Maintains current knowledge of and complies with customer/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Joint Aviation Administration (JAA) technical data as applicable to the work assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Supply Chain or Operations environment
  • MRP/ERP skills such as SAP or equivalent system
  • Warehouse/Supply chain knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SAP) 
  • Forklift experience
