Position summary

Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Software Architect with an active TS/SCI Clearance in Aurora CO. Relocation assistance available provided candidate meets eligibility requirements.

Life with Raytheon Intelligence and Space

In this role, you will be joining a team of talented software engineers who are designing, developing, and maintaining next-generation satellite ground station software. Our challenging domain offers the opportunity to apply new technologies to build high availability, large-scale software systems.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $15K for a person with a TS/SCI clearance that can be verified and hired here at Raytheon Intelligence & Space.

 
Required Skills 

  • Experience designing and implementing object-oriented software systems
  • Experience with C++ and Java development
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a current/active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance

Education/Experience Requirements

  • 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree are typically needed for this role. A Master’s degree in may be substituted for 2 years of work experience. Non-degreed professionals with demonstrated skills and relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with some area of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models
  • Experience with Microservice architecture
  • Experience with DevSecOps
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with UML design modeling in modeling tools such as Rational Rose, RSA, or Rhapsody
  • Experience programming in Python
  • Experience using tools such as Eclipse, Junit, Jira, and Git.

“In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $89,000 to $189,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.”
