Job Summary:
We are seeking Systems Engineering professionals to support the Integrated Fire Control Systems (IFCS) department at our St. Petersburg, Florida location. The department leads all aspects of SE to support RMD’s Land Warfare and Air Defense and Naval Power mission areas. IFCS cultivates a world-class of systems thinkers to architect solutions for the world’s toughest challenges. Technical domains include Radar, Sensor Netting, Effectors, Battle Management, Command and Control, Communications, Networks, Battlespace Integration and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers.
The selected applicant will develop solutions for Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANET) within Advanced Networking Solutions (ANS). ANS holds the US Navy’s Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) program; a real-time ‘sensor-netting’ fusion network, providing a Single Integrated Air Picture from ships, aircraft, and ground-based units to improve.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
• Architect and integrate directional RF communications networking algorithms and operations
• Protocols for Multibeam Antenna and MESH networking, network acquisition and management,
• Transmit/Receive and Link Scheduling algorithms
• MAC layer protocols
• Routing algorithms and protocols (proactive/reactive/hybrid)
• Modeling/Simulation of network performance with MATLAB/C++/Simulators
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of relevant experience, or Advanced STEM Degree and 5 years of relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
• Extensive domain knowledge and experience with advanced wireless communication systems and/or routers
• Technical leadership experience
• MATLAB or similar software proficiency
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
