Senior Electrical Engineer - In Circuit Testing (Onsite)

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the Test Equipment Engineering team for aerospace products and systems.  The role will be focused on electrical circuit design and layout for test and coverage analysis. The Senior Electrical Engineer will help ensure that new and existing circuit designs and PCB layouts meet the product testing and test coverage requirements. The senior engineer is considered an experienced individual contributor experienced in all aspects of the development process and may be required to lead small projects and mentor junior employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze circuit and PCB Designs with a focus on deign for test
• Perform coverage analysis and recommend changes to enhance testability
• Develop and maintain test documentation, plans, procedures, and reports
• Write test requirements and detailed design documents
• Work with vendors to develop In Circuit Test Equipment
• Troubleshoot complex issues that may be software, hardware, system, or product related to determine root cause and corrective action
• Communicate technical issues through written, verbal and presentation media
• Support to the manufacturing/operations group as needed to help ensure on-time delivery of product
• Interface with Customers, External Suppliers, Program Managers, Engineering Managers, Mechanical, Software, Electrical, and Systems Engineers, as well as the Manufacturing organization
• Management of various projects with small teams of test engineers and outsourced test equipment hardware build

This position will be onsite to start, and may offer the ability to work in a hybrid or remote environment depending on the phase of the assigned project.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR
• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
• 3 plus years working in aerospace industry or other regulated industry
• Experience with bed of nails, flying probe, and functional CCA testing
• Experience with ICT coverage analysis
• Experience working with and/or managing remote resources
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment – where priorities change
• Able to work both autonomously as well as part of a team
• Experience generating and presenting project status
• Strong organization, communication, and multi-task skills
• Hands-on Aerospace / Military hardware design, build, test and integration experience (or in regulated industry)
• Competent in using Microsoft Office applications
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Mentor Graphics (Dxdesigner/Expedition),
• Strong background in electrical troubleshooting
• Familiarity with project planning, budgets, and Microsoft Project
• Able to function at a high level with multiple tasks and projects, and to effectively change direction based upon business needs
• Exposure to various test systems, LabVIEW experience, experience with various avionics busses, and experience with National Instrument PXI hardware are all a plus
