Senior Engineer, Software Developer (Remote-Puerto Rico)

The Global Engineering Center in Puerto Rico is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join the team.  We are looking for an individual to enhance and maintain the code for our home-grown time-keeping tool, TEMPO. TEMPO is an internally developed application for analysis of direct and indirect time charging employee hours and resource utilization.

The ideal candidate is one who can work independently and has a passion for problem solving while satisfying stakeholder needs. It will work directly with finance customers to capture requirements and implement modifications to the tool.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location but can begin working remotely, within Puerto Rico. Candidate must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• TEMPO Web-based application development
• Add new application functionality
• Update application technical documentation
• As needed, executing data loads, calendar updates, user queries not covered by application reporting
• SSMS database DEV environment development
• Add new database functionality
• Update database technical documentation
• Support the TEMPO Admin with PROD environment database maintenance
• Ensure corporate cybersecurity requirements are being met
• Update OS & network information to technical documentation
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues to the application & database
• Troubleshoot user authentication issues

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
• Effective communication and presentation skills in English (verbal and written).
• Candidate must be a U.S Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Web Development experience: ASP.NET (Webforms/MVC), Client Side Frameworks (Angular/JQuery/Telerik/Kendo), C#.NET, Visual Studio, along with the latest web development skills.
• Microsoft SQL & IIS Server Administration Experience
• Source Control in a team environment
• LINQ or Entity Frameworks
