The Pratt & Whitney Global Security Organization is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s global security risk management strategy and associated programs and serves as the focal point for security across the organization. This position is accountable to serve as the recognized senior leader for the operations of security risk management for the Pratt & Whitney locations in the Oklahoma City areas of Oklahoma to deliver security expertise for the oversight and continuous improvement of the overall security program in support of safeguarding the company’s critical assets – people, sites, products, operations, and reputation.

This role is required Onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clear daily responsibility to direct, coordinate and manage security operations to ensure the protection of assets and self-initiate course of actions necessary to develop timely mitigation plans
  • Develop and deliver directly and in other instances delivers as a process partner preventative, protective, and response programs to protect against financial loss, trade secret loss, sabotage, crimes against persons, threats, emergencies, and other security related outcomes that may impact profitability and brand
  • Actively monitor security operational risks and security trends to anticipate and identify risks, threats and vulnerabilities advising Global Security leadership, OKC site executive leadership, other appropriate leadership with reliable, timely, and complete information to mitigate and minimize incidents impacting company critical assets.
  • Maintain an active view of the operational landscape conducting risk assessments and threat analysis with subsequent defined courses of action based upon business criticality.
  • Lead in the design, development, and implementation of the global security programs at the sites to reduce risks and respond when incidents occur. Continually develop the expertise of the organization inclusive of succession planning.
  • Across operating units, advise on the implementation and maintenance of all security related company policies, standards, guidelines, processes, procedures, and plans. Ensure coordination with relevant stakeholders and multi-disciplinary members to enforce compliance with policies and standards to help ensure consistent application of security across the campus
  • Adapt comprehensive security learning curriculum and security awareness program for appropriate delivery inclusive of threat management programming which encompasses insider threat, violence in workplace prevention, and alignment to the partnership with Government Security Compliance programming.
  • Deliver risk appropriate briefings, in depth reporting, or advisories to business leadership and project teams based on an analysis of open source and security related intelligence
  • Coordinates with quality and internal controls organizations to ensure security processes at the facility level are assessed and achievable remediation plan established within the CORE methodology 
  • Maintain daily and other periodic measurements for efficient and effective program delivery
  • Ensure all site security related technologies and system requirements are operable for proactive and reactive programming while co-designing the system with other company programs inclusive of CCTV, intrusion detection, access control, perimeter security mechanism, and other security mitigation measures and as needed partnering with facilities in fire & life safety programming.
  • Regularly assess the program to identify gaps or opportunities in standard work within the program or across interdependencies with the multi-disciplinary team partners to define alternative approaches to maintain a positive employee work experience
  • Serve as the technical expert on internal and external committees and projects for all needs inclusive of business operational changes, footprint changes, and new product/service offerings to align security offerings to the business strategy
  • Liaise between the organization and security specific industry forums to have an in-depth understanding of security operations and ensure the delivery of a comprehensive industry standard program offering inclusive of a well-developed network of OKC areas public and private sector counterparts
  • Active member in the Pratt & Whitney Crisis Management Program and lead in the development, training, and implementation of security related emergency management processes at the site in conjunction with EH&S compliance, Human Resource requirements, and other risk management programming. Engages during any crisis, threat assessment, high risk separation, or other security related event or program carried out at the sites.
  • Participate in program reviews budget/schedule prioritization. Manage the security budget for the site with responsibility for short- and longer-term capital planning.
  • This position requires a limited amount of travel – 10% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience with law enforcement, intelligence, public service, military, or private security organization
  • At least 5+ years of experience in developing, implementing, and managing corporate security programs inclusive of managing third party contracted security services
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
  • Capable of passing a National Security Background Investigation to enable the issuance of a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills with the ability to influence and interact across a matrix environment of executive and business leadership, employees, suppliers, and contactors
  • Exposure in enterprise security risk management inclusive of assessment and mitigation processes
  • Exposure working with international trade compliance programming
  • Certification from an accredited security related organization
