Senior Manager, Strategic Estimating and Pricing

The Strategic Estimating and Pricing (E&P) organization has an exciting opportunity to join a talented team supporting proposal and capture efforts within the RMD Land Warfare and Air Defense (LW&AD) Mission Area.  This position will be for a direct charging employee located in Tewksbury, MA.

The chosen candidate will focus on managing E&P support for all proposal efforts of assigned area; including competitive, strategic, and International pursuits. This is a highly visible position that will require extensive collaboration with cross-functional proposal teams, subcontractors, customers, LW&AD/RMD Senior Management, and E&P Senior Management. The management of these activities, in concert with the other business leaders, is vital to winning new business and growing key programs within LW&AD.

The successful candidate will be required to manage a diverse portfolio of proposal activities, promote key proposal knowledge across the business, and facilitate growth and learning of all members within the assigned E&P team.

Additional activities include, but are not limited to:

•Ensure alignment with the financial objectives of program directors and program managers across the product line (proposal priorities, booking priorities, pricing strategies, etc.).

•Develop creative strategic approaches to product pricing with an emphasis on affordability (ensures approach is consistent with affordability targets and adequately described in proposals).

•Continuously assess proposal pipeline and deploy/balance team as needed to ensure all program proposal needs are adequately supported.

•Ensure successful development of cost rationale, cost volumes, tests of reasonableness, audit responses and negotiation strategy.

•Ensure compliance with FAR and internal estimating requirements (primarily FAR 15.408, Table 15-2), and perform management reviews.

•Proactively communicate status, priorities and requirements with key leadership and proposal personnel.

•Conduct performance reviews, provide guidance and other appropriate supporting duties to direct reports.

•Ability and willingness to gain special access clearance to manage activities as appropriate.
 

Requires:

• Broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams. Typically requires:
• A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
