This requisition is looking for an experienced Project Engineer who will focus on executing modification and upgrade projects for our Aftermarket Seating department. The team member will be responsible for leading a team of dotted lined design engineering’s, overseeing design development, bill of material management, service bulletin administration and more on a wide variety of interesting seat platforms.
Execute programs for various intriguing projects such as video monitor changes, trim and finish changes, cabin reconfigurations, and more for both seats, suites and monuments.
Drive program execution to achieve KPI’s such as quality performance, on time delivery, hours spend, etc.
Own Engineering deliverables and activities for mod & upgrade seating programs.
Lead individual Design Engineers that also work on seating programs but have a different reporting relationship.
Work closely with Sales, Operations, Program Management, Engineering and Certification.
Performs engineering activities that cannot be attributed to a defined discipline including continuous improvement initiatives.
Think strategically to identify an optimal program approach.
Provide supplemental support for quotation execution Project Engineers.
Perform bill of material activities, service bulletin activities, lead program design reviews, review engineering change notices, and direct assigned Design Engineers.
Operate in a fast-paced, team environment.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
5+ years of design/project/quotation experience
Prior experience in the design of mechanical systems for commercial aircraft seating products is a plus.
Experience working with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
Familiarity with FAA requirements a plus.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
