Business Unit
The Aerothermal & Intelligent Systems department within our Research Center has an opening for a Software Developer at the level of Senior Engineer. We are a community of high performing inventors, innovators, thinkers, manufacturers, motivators, leaders, problem solvers, dreamers and achievers. We work with global business units, universities, and external research organizations to identify, develop and demonstrate innovative technology solutions, products, services and intelligent systems. Experience/Qualifications
You will be working within a team with various technical backgrounds to design, implement and test cutting edge software systems for the management, planning, and control of intelligent and autonomous aerospace systems, as well as complex design and analysis tools. We are particularly interested in candidates who have demonstrated experience in software development, understand industry best practices and have experience with multiple coding languages.
Must Have Experience:
- Python, C/C++, C#, or Java
- Building software systems from the ground up
- Requirements elicitation
- Unit and integration testing
- Git/continuous integration
- Scrum or other agile frameworks
Good to have Experience:
- Data analysis (R or SPSS)
- Robotics (ROS)
- Machine learning
- UI Development
Required Education
Minimum of B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM discipline, with 3 years of post-degree work experience. A Master's degree with 2 years of post degree experience is preferred.
Work Authorization
US Person (Permanent resident) or US Citizenship required.
Location
Onsite locations in East Hartfort, Berkeley as well as remote work possible.
