Collins Aerospace Head up Guidance Systems (HGS) in Wilsonville, Oregon is looking for a Software Engineer interested in software development to join our team. Our software engineering organization is primarily responsible for the requirements, design, implementation, and verification of HGS functionality, in a highly-structured environment that is compliant with the guidelines for certified, safety-critical flight software.
For an introduction to the state-of-the-art Collins Aerospace Head up Display system:
Design and develop software from functional and interface requirements.
Debug flight critical software and perform associated system integration activities in a laboratory or a simulation environment.
Generate problem reports with detailed analysis of anomalies.
Develop requirement based test procedures.
Verify software performance through structural coverage analysis.
Prepare software design documents, test procedures, and traceability matrices.
Execute test procedures in support of formal software verification efforts.
Participate in simulator and/or flight test trips, including operation of data acquisition/collection systems.
Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Have experience in programming languages C, Python, Perl.
Strong software and hardware debugging skills.
Be a self-motivated individual who can work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Have familiarity with Agile development environment and related tools.
Have experience in use of emulators, logic analyzers, language simulators, and test equipment.
