Position summary
Exciting opportunity to join Raytheon Intelligence and Space as an Sr. Software Engineer based in North Texas (Dallas), having significant impact, recognition, and growth in the organization.
The Sr. Software Engineer will support the development efforts for projects to ensure successful project execution on behalf of the Common Engineering (CE) Team - Antenna Microwave Products (AMP) department. The CE AMP department is responsible for full-scope Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for antenna products, including architecture trades, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of both module and integrated system verification solutions. The Sr. Software Engineer will implement system software engineering best practices in planning, development, and execution of scope, schedule, and budget. The Sr. Software Engineer will employ excellent communication skills, while directly supporting the Section Manager in the execution of the HWEC AMP department goals.
The Sr. Software Engineer will have experience of the full Software Life Cycle including design, development, integration, and validation.
Required Skills:
Minimum 5 yrs. experience
Language skills in one or more of these: C, C#, C++, Visual Basic, .NET, Matlab
Operating Systems: Windows and/or Unix
Experience with Configuration Management tools
Experience with the Software Process
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Desired Skills:
National Instruments Development tools: LabWindows CVI, TestStand
Ability to work independently and manage priorities on multiple tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment

Desired Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 5 years of experience of experience, An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum 3 years experience
Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project
management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
