Technician (Inspector)

Responsibilities

• Performs visual and dimensional inspection of incoming and outgoing aircraft parts
• Responsible for incoming/ initial, in-process and final inspection of repairable parts to ensure conformance to related documents and required repairs
• Ensure parts are repaired according to the prescribed standards and procedures
• Understand current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer of the product being inspected and other forms of information
• Responsible for conducting inspections in accordance with Regulatory approved technical data
• Demonstrate commitment to safety requirements by complying to EH&S regulations and policies
• Support and participate in EH&S, Quality & CORE activities (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence).

Requirements

• Minimum NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other related discipline
• Internal applicants must be in T2 grade for at least 2 years prior to application.
• Familiar with the relevant airworthiness and regulatory agencies requirements.
• Knowledge of inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment and tools used to determine the quality of airworthiness of a part.
• Good understanding to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids.
• Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands-on approach.
• Able to display Continuous Improvement competencies.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude towards change management.
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
• Able to multi-task, work under pressure and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
