Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant will work with a team of accounting professionals to support the following;
• Maintain accurate fixed asset records while adhering to the company's fixed asset policies and sox requirements.
• Tracking and entry of new assets into the fixed asset system.
• Maintain costs and details of projects in process, including when projects will be in service and moved to fixed assets.
• Participate in physical inventories of fixed assets.
• Enter disposals and transfers as needed.
• Work with Fleet and colleagues on additions, disposals, and reconciliations as they pertain to vehicles.
• Respond to requests for information from auditors and internal inquirers.
• Review asset information for month end close, along with participating in creating journal entries as needed both for capital items and items on the closing issues log.
• Research monthly variances on trial balance as requested by management.
• Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts in BlackLine system.
CANDIDATE SUMMARY
Required Experience
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting of finance fields
• Experience with multi-unit organization

• Skilled at focusing on desired results, determining what is important and urgent, identifying next steps, and effectively meeting deadlines and achieving desired results.
• Ability to maintain highly confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Formal Education, Qualifications or Training
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience -
Required
• Masters in finance, accounting or related field - Preferred
