Responsibilities

What do our Picking and Packing Specialists do?

A successful Distribution picking and packing Specialist is a motivated self-starter who can work independently with a focus on results in achieving company business goals. Success includes planning, organizing & effectively communicating within the assigned distribution center to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives while developing and enhancing the customer experience within Target Specialty products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Picks/packs product based on daily orders
• Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner
• Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation
• Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues
• Ensure packing of shipments adhere to all specification and regulations
• Completes and adheres to all required safety training
• Report all accidents and near misses within 24hrs
• Engage in continued education opportunities
• Maintains a clean, neat and member-ready area.
• Operate machinery effectively - sit down forklift, stand up reach truck, electric pallet jack, cherry picker (up to 80% of the time), etc.
• Other duties, as assigned

What do you need?

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

• 1-2 years of forklift experience preferred

• Comfortable operating machinery

• Able and uninhibited of heights

• Forklift Certified within 30days of Hire

• HAZ Shipment (UPS/ FEDex) certified within 60days of Hire

• 1+ years related experience in warehousing or distribution

• Familiarity with multiple web browsers and Google based platform

• Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment

• Must pass pre-employment background screen
