rategic Accounts (SA) on contract terms. The T&C Team coordinates timely and accurate distribution and storage of documents and audits Bill Rates in Vendor Management System (VMS) tools.
What You'll Do
Analyzes draft contracts for US GAAP/ Topic 606 and operational support risks and communicates significant risks to management and Legal as needed. Provides recommended contract language to mitigate the risks identified (calculation of discount rebates, caps on re-performance, extensive warranties, etc.).
Operationalizes new contracts with billing, rebate terms, and other financial or accounting procedures required for new contracts.
Analyzes signed contracts to determine the proper US GAAP accounting for the terms of the contract. Develops special accounting procedures required to account for the contract terms.
Responsible for adhering to RH policies and procedures, internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Advises on accrual treatment for new accounting rebates.
Implements contracts and supporting processes in compliance with RH Company policy regarding revenue recognition and US GAAP requirements.
Provides instructions to multiple FSC Departments for proper handling of contracts and validates successful implementation.
Participates in and supports various projects as requested.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent relevant work experience.
With degree, 5+ years relevant accounting and/or contract experience. Experience in reviewing contractual agreements for business risk and accounting ramifications and knowledge of Topic 606 Revenue from Contracts and Customers is preferred.
Without a degree, 7+ years of experience in the areas emphasized above.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows applications. ERP system experience required; Workday and Salesforce preferred.
CPA helpful, but not required.
Ability to grasp new concepts, including business process/requirements and technology. Ability to convey ideas both verbally and in writing, work independently, and prioritize job responsibilities. Must be detail-oriented, service oriented, demonstrate problem solving ability and perform as a team player. High level of customer service and leadership ability.
The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
$86,000.00 - $131,000.00
