About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Ad Marketing business leader who can spearhead our growth in Mexico as well as champion our wider international growth plans for advertising with Roku.

You will understand the key challenges facing today’s media buyers and develop marketing initiatives to position Roku’s advertising solutions as the best to help clients meet their objectives. As we grow, so too will your remit with the opportunity to build and lead a team that communicate how Roku’s advertising solutions solve problems and do so better than the alternatives in the market.

Business objectives range from lead generation, reputation building and educating our clients with thought provoking insights about streaming TV growth and audiences, through to building out our commercial advertising business through marketing and directly supporting the unlocking of revenue potential for Roku advertising by proving why advertisers should be working with us.

To be successful, having advertising industry knowledge, connections and the business acumen to creatively and uniquely position Roku and communicate its benefits in an easy to understand way will be key to your success. This role will report into the International Ad Marketing team and work cross functionally and globally across sales marketing, comms, product, marketing operations, and demand generation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive Roku’s Spanish speaking South American international expansion, serving as an internal subject matter expert and thought leader on advertising
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders across the Roku organization to craft and own the overall ad marketing strategy and its execution.
  • Support and manage the Mexico go-to-market roadmap to support new market entry, new category, and new product launches.
  • Build and lead a best-in-class in-country business marketing organization.
  • Work collaboratively with ad sales leadership, business partners and vendors to exceed advertising revenue goals.
  • Support with the development of go-to-market strategies and materials to enable Roku to achieve market leadership positions.
  • Help conceive, launch, and scale ambitious marketing programs that enhance a compelling and consistent brand narrative across all channels.
  • Show passion for developing top-tier talent and a collaborative culture.

Key Skills

  • Ability to cope with fast-paced and pressured work
  • High attention to detail, with a flair for design and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills to juggle strategic and operational reactive and proactive work
  • Excellent (spoken and written) communication skills in English and Mexican/Spanish a must
  • A methodical approach to work
  • An eye for design and experience guiding the development of marketing materials, including slides, reports, infographics, and ‘for digital’ content
  • Solid IT skills and have knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Exposure to international business covering multiple countries, cultures, languages and time zones

We’re excited if you have

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in marketing, focused on ad sales or advertising technology.
  • Experience establishing a high bar for marketing performance, setting targets, measuring success, and constantly optimizing through a test and learn approach.
  • Track record of measuring the ROI and impact of marketing programs.
  • Extensive network into the international advertising industry/CMOs, especially in Mexico and Spanish speaking Americas.
  • Solid understanding of the connected TV landscape and programmatic advertising.
  • Deep expertise crafting unforgettable storytelling and an eye for design with data, text, illustration, and multimedia.
  • Ensure brand consistency across creative and copy; collaborating with internal teams to bring structure, support and delivery for international requirements.
  • “No job is too big or too small” mentality; you are a strategic thinker with a bias for action.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
