We are expanding the scale of the content offering within 'The Roku Channel' through partnerships with over 175 different content providers. In 2021, we launched Roku Originals and acquired This Old House to enable new ways to provide our users with great content. Our UI is powered by ML Recommendations algorithms that identify the most relevant content that the user will enjoy streaming. Our continued success relies on constantly improving our understanding of users' interests and allocating and monitoring our growing content investment. We are seeking a seasoned Product manager to bootstrap Content relevance and acquisition product area responsible for evolving our AVOD (advertising-based video on demand) content strategy.
The goal is to acquire and produce content that is most relevant to our current and prospective users. The role sits at the intersection of Content licensing business, Machine learning/ Predictive analytics-based content evaluation technologies, and End-user content presentation and performance. Understanding large-scale knowledge graph/ recommender/ search systems will help in defining the holistic content journey from the pre-licensing evaluation stage to final end-user streaming. The ideal candidate will be data fluent and be ready to roll up their sleeves to investigate content performance anomalies that could cause significant business revenue loss. The role involves building deep partnerships with Data-science, ML Engineering, Tooling, Content Business, Performance Analytics, Data, and Consumer Insights teams to conduct product discovery, prioritization, and execution of the Product Roadmap. The responsibility spans from building the correct content performance understanding and predictions, providing business teams with access to ML data in the tools UI, and lastly, once content is licensed, then monitoring the - merchandising, monetization, attributed value, and user engagement.
