Our team's mission is to build and deliver cutting-edge Insights and Measurement products that help grow sustainable Advertising business at Roku. We work on cloud-based Big Data pipelines, Analytics methodologies, and ML models that generate actionable Insights and Measurement data.
We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong experience building and optimizing Big Data pipelines for Analytics and ML use cases. In this role, you will influence and contribute to large scale Ad Insights, Measurement, and Planning products with visible customer impact!
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent quantitative field and 5+ years of experience in a Big Data and Analytics Engineering role (Master's preferred)
Strong experience with Apache Spark and one of more of Java, Scala, or Python on Spark (Experience with Spark internals and Spark Streaming will be a big plus!)
Experience working with data and feature extraction from large and unstructured datasets
Experience working with high performance probabilistic data structures and sampling techniques (such as Data Sketches and HyperLogLog)
Demonstrated ability to build and optimize Data and Analytics pipelines that support data transformations and feature extraction with great attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and project management skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Experience with Machine Learning models, Advertising domain, data stores like Druid/Snowflake a big plus!
