About the role

Roku is seeking graduate or recent graduate Software Engineers for our New Products teams to contribute to expanding our range of consumer products. Roku prides itself on effective execution in developing and launching streaming video products which are used by tens of millions of people worldwide to watch billions of hours of TV each month.

What you’ll be doing

As a member of the team you will develop the skills and confidence to make a significant contribution, being taken frequently out of your comfort zone and getting your hands dirty building our exciting products.

Our graduate Software Engineers gain extensive experience in embedded Linux, system-on-a-chip (SoC) development, streaming audio and video technologies, and integration of third-party code. Our New Products teams are involved at all stages of product development from scoping and feature development, certification testing, working alongside our manufacturing partners, product launch and finally reviewing and addressing customer feedback.

We’re excited if you have

• Enthusiasm for software development, ideally programming experience with C/C++
• Experience of coding outside your studies, ideally with embedded Linux systems
• Interest in successful computer gadgets and technologies
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Recently graduated or due to graduate in the next 12 months in Computer Science, Engineering or similar
