Job Summary:

The West Palm Beach is looking for a 2nd shift Cell Leader to support the F135 and APU OEM product lines. The selected individual will supervise a team of bargaining unit hourly employees who are responsible for supporting engine and APU assembly and test in WPB. In addition, the Cell Leader will be a contributor in meeting all: EH&S, Customer, Quality, and Financial goals within the WPB PDC facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the assembly and test team to support production and quality goals.
  • Collaborate with support teams to establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability, and other top priorities.
  • Proactively generate effective solutions for Quality process control and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Support process implementation and refinement activities throughout all process gates
  • Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly.
  • Ensure full involvement in ACE continuous improvement initiatives - utilize ACE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce overall operating cost.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or 7+ years experience in lieu of degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Operations or Quality, preferably within the Aerospace industry.
  • Leadership, communication, problem solving, analytical, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (https://e.g. lean manufacturing, ACE, QCPC)
  • Experience operating within a bargaining unit setting.
  • Ability to plan projects and to use written/verbal/analytical/org skills to influence business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
  • The preferred candidates will have A&P license or similar military experience.
