Raytheon Technologies is looking for a Full Stack Applications Developer to develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise / departmental IT systems. This position requires in-depth hands on experience developing software in a team environment where customer focus, cooperation, communication, and continual tradecraft improvements are the norm. Must have excellent debugging skills, work independently, and interact well with others. This position is located in Herndon.

• Utilize the Agile methodology and traditional Project Management Framework (PMF) control gates for all software application development unless otherwise directed by Sponsor.

• Develop software applications as web services that are written in JavaScript capable technology unless otherwise directed by Sponsor. Examples include JavaScript (EXTJS, Dojo), Java (Springboot, Hibernate, JSPs, GWT, JSF, Groovy on Grails); Angular; Node; NET (ASP.NET, C#.NET); Scripting languages (Perl, PHP, Ruby on Rails); and Rich UI Plugins (Flex, Silverlight, Google Earth Plugin).

• Develop and maintain software applications as web services that interact with data stored in MySQL and other relational databases and/or Cloud technologies such as AWS.

• Develop, upgrade, and maintain APis and search with REST-like APis to communicate with other software applications and databases as required by Sponsor.

• Utilize XML, JSON, or other Sponsor standards for data transfer and metadata management.

• Develop and maintain Domino, SharePoint, and other software applications and content management systems as required by Sponsor. (Domino and SharePoint are dated and not really used any more. Confluence and Hive are better/current technologies)

• Develop and maintain Sponsor forms in Adobe or other forms software as required by Sponsor.

• Improve search and website usability and accessibility by leveraging enterprise capabilities, improving process time, and supporting legal mandates.

Required Skills:

• BS/BA in Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or similar OR equivalent combination of education and experience

• Proficient in Java (Java 8 and above) and/or Python

• Must be able to decompose assignments and derive engineering solutions to solve the problem

• Must work well in a group environment and collaborate with team members as well as the customer

• Must know to use an IDE to code (ex – IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans)

• Hands on experience with cloud technology (AWS / C2S)

• Hands on experience with AWS technologies to include EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS

• Experience with web services (REST) and service-oriented architecture (SOA) – Spring Boot, Hibernate, Tomcat

• Experience with relational databases (ex - Oracle / MySql)

• Experience with index and search services (ex. ElasticSearch)

• Experience with interacting in a Linux environment (ex - Bash scripting, VI)

• Ability to work well with others as well as independently (MUST leave ego at the door)

• Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment

Due to a customer requirement, as a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate will be required to obtain and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to commencing employment or submit to regular COVID testing.

Requires expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

May have deep knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and

ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs

or systems.

Typically requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years

prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree

in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited

by local laws/regulations.
