    *These will be 2nd and 3rd shift positions and will require successful applicants to work independently with minimal supervision and technical oversight. This is a critical role that will represent the Engineering Team in the off shift working hours.

    Job Summary:

    The Vanes Manufacturing Engineering organization within the Asheville site is seeking motivated Manufacturing Quality Engineers to help with FAI development and Continuous Improvement activities in assigned process areas.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead FAI development and new Process Tryout on the Shop Floor.
    • Be the first point of contact on assigned parts and manufacturing processes.
    • Organize and Lead Continuous Improvement activities on assigned hardware. Drive actions to closure.
    • Track Product Quality/Cost and identify improvements where opportunities exist.
    • Provide technical help and support to all Operations personnel as required and on a timely basis.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in a Precision Manufacturing environment. Certification may be required for technical support roles.

    Preferred Qualifications:    

    • Real world experience and strong hands-on problem-solving ability is a must for this position.             
    • Ability to act independently and own the consequences of your decisions.             
    • Broad knowledge of the Aerospace Industry and experience in Turbine Engine parts manufacturing.
