This position will lead the HR function and execute strategies for the site, which has approximately 1,400 employees. As HR Business Partner, will develop and implement a variety of HR programs, address complex HR inquiries, and monitor market trends to address HR development needs. Manages the development of human resources documents, advises on Talent Management and Labor and Employee Relations issues. Requires excellent communication skills including the ability to quickly build relationships, collaborate, coach, resolve conflicts, and influence with impact. Must be able to set direction, make effective decisions, and influence stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
This position will be worked on-site in Wilson, NC.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic thought partner to senior leaders, providing strategic and tactic plans to meet critical business needs. Review key business performance targets and their related talent implications with business leaders to develop actionable people strategies.
Provide frontline support to business leaders to influence and drive a high performing culture through your expert advice and coaching to leaders and employees.
Understand key business challenges and organization needs and develop win-win solutions that comply with HR practices.
Act as a liaison between the business and HR Centers of Expertise/Shared Services to ensure proper alignment for locally executed initiatives.
Build organization and leader capability through the delivery of activities, tools, and assessments, aligned to the leadership model, business strategy, and operational goals.
Provide performance consulting to enhance the effectiveness of leaders and teams to increase productivity and employee engagement.
Design and apply change management strategies in support of business objectives and advancing the culture.
Deliver high-impact diversity and inclusion practices and participate in company wide programs and initiatives.

Utilizing strong and trusted relationships, provide coaching, mentorship and guidance to senior leaders.
Attract top talent into the organization, build strong succession plans and develop strategy for closing key skills gaps within the organization.
Collaborate with clients to understand training and development needs and retention risks, and develop action plans/advise accordingly.
Analyze, compile and present data/key metrics to senior leadership to drive key decisions. Use and demonstrate continuous improvement tools and methodology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes and tools.
Travel up to 10%
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is Required
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
This position will be located in Wilson, NC; candidate must be local to the preferred location or willing to relocate
Experience supporting manufacturing
Master’s Degree
PHR or SPHR
Demonstrated learning ability
Proven ability to work in a matrixed environment
Experience coaching and developing leaders
Self-motivated and capable of working in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with personnel matters
Ability to multi-task and prioritize various responsibilities while maintaining a calm and professional presence
