Raytheon is an industry leader in Stealth Technology. We are involved in all phases of development, production, and maintenance of Low Observable (LO) weapon systems. We are currently looking for Stealth / Low Observable / Radar Cross Section (RCS) / Signature Management / Survivability Engineers to work on challenging, state of the art technical projects.
What You Will Do
As an Engineering Subject Matter Expert in Signature Management & Technology, you will serve as a strategic leader who will define where a program or product line is heading or needs to go, while considering the technical and programmatic aspects of how to get there.
You will also drive the execution of that strategy across multiple programs.
Strong advocate for technical integrity of Signature Management & Technology disciplines such as signal processing, computational electromagnetics, testing, and materials across multiple programs and product lines.
You will be viewed as an expert and serve as a subject matter expert to the organization in determining and developing required technologies to achieve organization growth objectives in signature management and low observable technologies.
Technical lead in a team environment on diverse projects, providing independently determined solutions to create high fidelity simulations and models for missile system design, performance assessment, flight test support, trade studies and analysis.
Provides mentorship and shoulder-to-shoulder empirical experience for engineers.
Works independently or through leadership of teams to solve the hardest signature management challenges.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior Low Observables or Signature Management or Computation Electromagnetic Codes, Stealth or Survivability engineering technology experience. OR an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 9 years' experience.
Experience with Infrared signature analysis and/or control
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Working knowledge of computational electromagnetic codes to include full wave codes, as well as asymptotic techniques using industry standard tools such as XPATCH, CARLOS, SENTRi, etc.
Infrared (IR) signature analysis and reduction experience including IR CEM tools
Strong interpersonal communication and effective personal interaction and collaboration with a multi-disciplined team and customers
Master's degree in physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership
Proposal Writing and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
