The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team:
Overview (Purpose / Value Proposition / Context and Responsibilities)
This role is responsible for integrating all aspects of the vendor relationships and sourcing functions supporting Enterprise Real Estate Services and the PMO initiatives through collaborating and partnering with vendors, ES leaders, and functional service owners. A key component of the role is ensuring the ongoing oversight and management of the sourced relationships. The function monitors and mitigates operational risks associated with contract management and vendor oversight.
Key Activities
Vendor Performance Measurement
Develops and maintains program and process by which vendor performance is measured and evaluated
Works with Vendors and functional leads to develop annual goals and performance metrics, including annual financial business plan / budgets and revised Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Monitors and documents that vendors provide services per the term of the agreement through appropriate controls and audits (to prevent ‘scope creep’)
Conducts periodic vendor reviews/evaluations that consider project-level performance as well as the holistic vendor relationship; manages supplier scorecards, contract compliance and service obligations
Reports back PMO and leadership on Vendor performance and compliance
Acts as the escalation point for issues relating to Service Provider performance or deviations from original estimates, taking action to remedy the issues and managing through to resolution
Provides ongoing due diligence of the vendor(s)
Sourcing
Leads and drive contract negotiations on complex real estate agreements to support and assist functional leads
Knowledgeable in the procurement/sourcing process, including: a sourcing prioritization list (of critical vendor requirements), definition of SLAs, selection process, key contract terms definition, etc.
Accountable for establishing a robust supplier engagement plans and governance structure to ensure quality
Works with the Performance & Operation Analyst to analyze pricing proposals and create scenarios to model financial impact; consults with the Finance and Operations Manager as needed
Keeps abreast of industry service delivery trends and strategic sourcing leading practices and provides guidance to functional leads
Responsible for developing annual strategic sourcing plan in collaboration with functional leads, as well as carrying out the developed strategy
Build strong partnerships across various stakeholders (legal, finance, etc.) Relationship Management
Reviews Audits reports and Risk Assessments and works with Vendor to close gaps and issues
Collaborates with team to identify and/or review any proposed revisions to scope or method of performance
Manages contract updates and amendments in compliance with RTX guideline, consults and informs relevant parties as needed (legal, procurement, risk management, etc.)
Provides support and guidance to functional leads with any vendor / contract related issues
Manages conflict resolution and escalations as needed
Provide support to functional leads during the vendor termination / exit process
Preferred Role Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Competencies
Qualifications / Education / Certifications and, or Licenses
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
MS Word, Excel and Project required
Experience
Performance based contract management
Developing relationships with service providers
Corporate Real Estate services, processes and service delivery structures preferred
Development and execution of plans, meeting deadlines and operating under time constraints
Development of executive level presentations
7-10 years in Real Estate contracts, software, and professional services
Experience with sourcing functions, including developing category strategies, risk management, and metrics management
Knowledge & Key Competencies
Understanding of vendor management fundamentals, contract management leadership and excellence
Understanding of Corporate Real Estate Services lifecycles and best practices
Strong project management skills including ability to effectively prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks concurrently and pay meticulous attention to details
People management and excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, issue resolution, negotiation, and customer relationship management
Demonstrated ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve conflicts across workgroups
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present business and technical issues, ideas, and recommendations clearly in verbal, written and presentation formats
