Strategic Solutions is a quickly growing portfolio within the Mission Systems Collins Business Unit, the backbone of the Strategic Deterrence pillar of the Mission Systems Connected Battlespace Strategic Initiative. Strategic Solutions delivers a variety of products and mission systems to the mission including resilient National and Strategic communications solutions, secure data processing and networking, and platform integration. The portfolio also focuses on the development and delivery of high-end training solutions, including simulators, range instrumentation, precision optics and displays, live training, head mounted displays, and training support for a wide array of commercial and defense application.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate should be familiar and experienced with US Government acquisition as the position involves a wide variety of new initiatives related to our DoD customer base. Key roles include:
Identifies and evaluates new strategic business opportunities and leads strategic projects, including the annual 5-year Strategic Business Plan for Portfolio/Business Units
Assess and advise on long-range planning, investment priorities, and capital expenditures
Collaborates across functions and portfolio roles to bring a comprehensive view to the organization on successful strategy implementation
Presents compelling market analysis presentations for inclusion in decision point reviews and strategic plans
Supports analysis, evaluation, and initiation of new growth opportunities, strategic alliance partner engagement, initial market validation
Supports the organization's strategic direction, voice differing views and work in collaboration with their peers
Brings forward M&A acquisition candidates including development of strategic rationale and participates on due diligence teams
Assist in leading group process improvements using our continuous improvement system (CORE), including the continued development of standard work for program management group processes
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams in the areas business development, market research, strategy, and/or value stream leadership, defense acquisition, capture or program management with increasing roles and responsibilities
Minimum 5 years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Skills include a strong business sense, technical background, financial acumen, and system of systems integration knowledge
Qualifications We Prefer
SCI clearance with Extended Background Check and polygraph preferred
Graduate Degree in Strategy, Business, Economics, Engineering, Science or Mathematics preferred
Experience on an internal corporate strategy team or top tier consulting firm preferred
Significant knowledge of the NC3 domain, Simulation and Training market, Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community customers and markets preferred

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
