    Job Summary:

    Perform a variety of tasks to maintain all sections of furnace melting systems.

    This is a 4th Shift position: Friday - Sunday (3x12) 7am - 7pm

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform a variety of tasks to maintain all sections of furnace melting systems.
    • Work from written and oral instructions with assistance to perform teardown, rebuild and maintenance of crucible, and heating coils. Tear down and evaluate for necessary repairs or replacement of parts. Use arc welder or gas torch to make repairs such as brazing coils and welding support members. Repair or replace cracked or damaged refractory. Reassemble, making sure coil assembly is isolated from crucible with sufficient ram filler.
    • Assist in rolling, assembly, and necessary adjustments on coil units, where condition of units is such that simple problems may be solved to make the set-up and complete the unit.
    • From time to time perform other duties not associated with melting systems that are required to maintain overall shop appearance and workflow, https://i.e., mopping floors, operate forklift, and headroom duties.
    • May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills
    • Lift up to 25 lbs. independently, work from heights – up to 60’, wear a respirator, bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, overhead reaching, standing on feet for long period of time – up to 8 hrs, and climbing stairs
    • Adhere to continuous improvement duties as required, and all Environment, Health and Safety (EH & S) guidelines, including wearing of required personal protective equipment.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • https://U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

    The salary range for this role is $https://19.00 to $https://24.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
