BBN Human Resources Director
As the HR director for Raytheon BBN, you will have a responsibility to partner with and advise the BBN President and leadership team to improve upon and drive organizational performance and results for a 600+ employee research-focused organization across 6 sites and multiple remote locations. The successful candidate will lead, implement, and execute HR processes, programs, and initiatives across multiple locations. The HR lead will collaborate with peers in the areas of talent/competency acquisition and management, performance management and development, compensation, benefits, compliance, leadership capability, leadership development, diversity, and organizational effectiveness. Directs and supervises the activities of 8 HR team members which comprise of HR Partners, Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition organizations and coordinates staff’s efforts to ensure collaboration and consistency; provides continuous coaching to facilitate staff’s growth and development; delivers interim and annual performance reviews.
As a member of the BBN leadership team, the HR director actively participates in making decisions that have an impact on the entire organization and the business. Develops and executes on change management activities to drive the organization’s evolution in support of the five-year business strategy. Actively supports and helps lead SIST, Office of the Future (OOTF) initiatives, enhanced onsite presence, and drives changes through employee engagement and morale initiatives. This position will also have accountability for leading BBN’s continued integration with Raytheon/RIS. The preferred location for this hybrid role may be out of Cambridge, MA, Columbia, MD, Rosslyn, VA. Travel is required for this position.
Required Skills/Education:
Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of Human Resources experience OR Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and 1+ years of Human Resources experience.
Experience coaching and consulting with management and employees with regards to talent acquisition, talent development, compensation, performance management, employee relations, organizational change, organizational learning and development, and organizational effectiveness
10+ years experience with HR fundamentals and HR Subject Matter Expertise in HR functions to include business perspective and business acumen, formulating and implementing people/organizational/HR actions that will impact the business and drive required major change efforts.
Experience working in a geographically dispersed environment
Interpersonal and influencing skills with leaders, as well as the experience to communicating effectively with all levels of the organization coupled with excellent customer service orientation, collaborative work behaviors, and experience consulting effectively and independently.
Experience in a high-level, challenging HR consulting work, while maintaining high level of execution of tactical HR process and deliverables in intense multi-tasking role.
Experience providing Human Resources support, counsel and direction to a business and to functional organizations.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Requires advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 14 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
