The Co-Op, GATORWORKS Digital for 6th Gen will play a key role in advancing the Program’s capability by executing the Digital 6th Gen (D6G) Roadmap to demonstrate new digital solutions that reimagine our core business processes so we can deliver world-class propulsion systems faster and more efficiently than our competition.

GATORWORKS was established to meet an ambitious and urgent goal:  To cut the cost and lead-time of P&W Technology and Product Development in half. We have already demonstrated that it is possible to achieve this objective through a combination of Agile practices, dedicated teams, digital technology, and innovative thinking.  To accomplish these goals, we are building an empowered, and high performing cross functional Agile team to demonstrate multiple model-based capabilities on actual programs. We are seeking highly ambitious individuals that are curious to learn more than one swim lane.

The D6G Co-Op will work alongside various Digital and Model-Based transformation Experts leveraging the latest digital capabilities and will participate on an Agile team implementing our digital future state alongside P&Ws best engineers and project managers. This role will require the ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders to execute the digital roadmap. The position will report to the Director, Gatorworks Digital and Agile Transformation.  This hybrid role is based in West Palm Beach, FL.  On-site work is expected at least 2 days a week.  This is a 6-8 month co-op that can begin in May or June of 2023, and will end in December 2023.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Learn to utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to enable the team to model systems through P&W provided training and execution
• Work collaboratively with systems engineers on an Agile Development team to connect engineering analysis and modeling with a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) philosophy and a digital ecosystem built on reliable APIs
• Document learnings and best practices to develop P&W standards for collaborative digital environment development and architecture

Basic Qualifications:

• Seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or similar
• US Citizenship is required due to government contracts
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Fluent in English (verbal/written)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in multiple physics-based modeling environments
• Agile trained (practitioner, scrum master, product owner, JIRA)
• Familiarity using:
  • System Modeling tools for MBSE (Rhapsody®/Cameo Systems Modeler, or equivalent)
  • 3D-Design tools (Siemens Teamcenter/Dassault CATIA/Solidworks, or equivalent)
  • Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) analysis tools for Aero/CFD, Structural, and Thermal
  • Additive Manufacturing & Inspection
  • Application Program Interface (API) design and documentation
• Interest in modeling & simulation tools, workflows, and project management
• Interest in concepts and technologies that enable seamless data exchange across engineering platforms
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual & in person environment
