Commodity Management and Sourcing Manager

This position is for an experienced Commodity & Strategic Sourcing professional.  The role will be responsible for data analysis and project management across the Distributed Products category for all Collins Aerospace Business Units.  Additionally, this person may manage key supplier accounts including contract negotiation and strategic relationship management.

This person can sit at any Collins Aerospace domestic location or remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop & manage commodity metrics including amongst others strategic review presentations, data files, agreement statistics, and RFQ activity

• Ensure accurate reporting of all projects and tool adherence

• Facilitate technical support and RFQ creation and execution

• Partner with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and improve sourcing strategy

• Execute commodity and strategic sourcing strategy

• Implements supply chain strategies driving values and key performance indictor results

• Negotiate or award contracts

• Analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules

• May be responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across the Distributed Products commodity.

Basic Qualifications:

• This position requires a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in an appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience.  In the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.

• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

• Must be willing and able to travel 20%-25% of the time.

• 3+ years’ experience in commodity/supply chain/procurement with increasing levels of responsibilities.

• Experience with data analysis in Excel and Tableau

• Contracts negotiations or negotiating terms and conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISM, CPM, APICS, CSCP certification and/or master’s degree

• Data Management & Design

• Project Management, Negotiating, Cost Savings Delivery, Relationship Management, Client/Customer Focus, and Contract Management skills

• Ability to lead cross functional teams.

• Experience in leading key projects or programs for complex commodities in a highly matrixed organization
