Position summary

Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is looking for a Supply Chain Manager (SCM) for the Surveillance & Network Systems (SNS) Strategic Product Team that manages critical commodities.  The commodities include Metals, Machining, Lasers, IMUs, Servos, CCAs, Detectors, Cameras, Optics, Cables and Connectors.  The job role will require the SCM to engage with other program aligned SCMs, Acquisitions, Strategic Sourcing, Program Engineering, Mission Assurance, Program Management, Materials Management, and suppliers in addressing factory build plan requirements and On-Time Delivery (OTD).  The candidate must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, developing and executing material strategies, and must be comfortable interfacing and presenting to all levels of internal and external leadership. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Executes a strategic plan for a commodity or a strategic supplier.

Creates, executes and manages various subcontract types (Cost Type, Incentive Type, Firm Fixed, etc.), using source selection techniques. Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature including development of supplier Statements of Work (SOW), and conducts bidders’ conferences as required.

Responsible for early subcontractor identification and engagement to support new business pursuits and provide risk and opportunity analysis for early capture.

Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across a given commodity.

Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed RTX requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective.

Develops program supplier risk and opportunity management plans.

May lead, initiate and/or participate in supplier assessments and development activities.

May manage teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs. 

Drive commonality & promote competition across all programs by collaborating with suppliers, operations and engineering.

Required Skills:

Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience – Supply Chain, Supplier Management, Operations, Production Control, Engineering, Finance or Project / Program / Relationship management

Practical knowledge of supply chain and related systems

Skilled in preparing supplier negotiation strategies and leading negotiations

Strong written / verbal communication and presentation skills

Advanced experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Power Point)

Desired Skills:

Experience working with MRP systems, such as SAP and the Raytheon Supply Chain Suite of Tools systems

Comfortable data-mining, creating graphs/charts/presentations, and presenting findings/recommendations

Experience implementing continuous improvement, Six Sigma or Lean methodologies/principals

Firm understanding of working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment

Supply chain or business experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry

Working knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations

EVMS, Earned Value certification or equivalent

Experience working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, and Quality functions

Experience with developing and analyzing performance metrics as well as experience proactively addressing associated program and functional issues

Typically requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Must be a U.S. Citizen as the position will require the ability to access U.S. only Data Systems.
