The Continuous Improvement Specialist will support the Collins Aerospace Oxygen systems and will interact with the stakeholders on site and peers worldwide in support of Continuous Improvement initiatives. This position will support the successful transition to the new lean operating system, CORE with the goal of empowering teams to collaborate, innovate and continuously improve to exceed customer expectations. Lean Management, Six Sigma, Policy Deployment, Capability Management with Industry 4.0 and Kaizen Events are only some of the methods you will apply in this position to chase operational excellence. This role has the potential to provide career advancement opportunities into Operations Leadership or Value Stream Management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify and create Standard Processes throughout the organization. •
Analyze system bottlenecks and inefficiencies, seeking solutions.
Drive CORE/ACE Lean systems though the organization.
Lead process improvement workshops (Kaizen) and improvement projects to drive business results across the organization.
Partner with all functions to define process capabilities, assess gaps and develop gap closure plans.
Plan and facilitate kaizen activities/events across the designated cells
Plan, coordinate, and teach Lean tools to employees in the designated cells
Create communication and manage process for Continuous Improvement projects for specific site, including producing project updates.
Assist the site in the implementation of new layout, process flow, standardize work, and reduction of WASTE though the processes.
Drive the RRCA (Relentless root cause analysis) and Zero Defect Plans.
Provide training for ACE/CORE lean systems as well for all other problem solving tools.
