    Job Summary:

    Pratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) s seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Engineer I to join our world-class organization. CDS is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development and support, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, product software design, verification & validation and engine and flight test support. Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions to control dynamic mechanical, power, and electric systems.

    • Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into software or systems requirements and designs.

    • Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs.

    • Perform software verification including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results.

    • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

    • Travel is up to 10%

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical engineering.

    • 6 months of experience using C++, MATLAB, Java, or Python.

    • Basic understanding of gas turbine jet engine operation and sub-systems.

    • 3 months of experience with modeling tools for complex systems (NPSS, Dymola, Simulink).

    • Project experience in control logic design.

    • US Security Clearance is preferred; willing to obtain and maintain.
