    Job Description:

    Product Safety, Certification & Validation (PSCV) is looking for a motivated, high energy individual to manage a team working on multiple engine programs. The qualified individual will work for the CT Test Engineering Core Site Manager and will also work in concert with the WPB and CT Test Engineering Managers and Supervisors. A security clearance is preferred, but not required.

    The Test Engineering Manager is responsible for strategic leadership of the Core Test Engineering resources, technical strategies, and investment resources that support objectives of each engine program. A focus on the development of our practitioners to pursue a breadth of experience within the assembly, test and analysis proficiencies including reinforcement of systems engineering. The qualified individual will work with the Site Manager to develop and implement strategies to support the overall progression and transformation of the organization with an emphasis of one cohesive team working towards the same goal.

    This position will also involve supporting the PSCV CT Core site lead in the development and implementation of operational strategies for unique test requirements that are CT site specific, including manpower forecasts, budget reviews, and requirements.

    The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal and team skills, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements. Additionally, key skillsets including strong business acumen, willingness to implement and drive Agile and lean techniques, and the ability to develop and drive new technologies into the test engineering process.

    Current Test Operations activity includes Next Generation Product Family of engines as well as advanced engine programs, operational commercial engine programs, operational military engine programs and auxiliary power units.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage a team of Core Test Engineers to execute program requirements, while further developing a Team culture
    • Align Core Test Engineering resources with projects that support key business initiatives
    • Effectively manage the Test Engineering support budget.
    • Implement and execute engineering changes to ensure customer requirements are met and test commitments are achieved.
    • Ensure production readiness for upcoming military, commercial and/or Advanced programs as they move from development to production across all of PSCV.
    • Establish and maintain the highest standards and expectations for quality and performance for the Test Engineering organization while ensuring employee satisfaction.
    • Develop employees through mentorship and coaching to learn and understand the sub-disciplines within the Test Organization.
    • Support the PSCV site lead with strategic plans for unique test engineering requirements that are CT site specific.
    • Travel required to support continuous learning, leadership development, and site synergies.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • BS degree in Engineering
    • 10+ years of experience in Engineering or 7+ years with an advance degree
    • US Citizenship due to government contract
    • Security clearance or the ability to obtain one

    Preferred Qualifications :

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred
    • Advanced degree preferred
    • Experience working with outsourced partners, reviewing and managing budgets
    • Experience in leading validation engine projects, leading process improvement projects, and in providing guidance to others
    • Proficient in the use of continuous improvement tools (ACE, Agile) to drive process improvements leading to increased productivity and customer satisfaction.
    • Familiarity with PC based system.
    • Strong communication skills, self-starter, self-driven.
    • Secret Clearance to aid in support discussions and planning for Military programs
