    The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team:

    Role Overview:

    The Cyber Lead - Enterprise Data Services (EDX) role will provide Cybersecurity and risk management expertise for Data & Digital Platforms.  In this role, the Cyber Lead will be embedded into the EDX function and be the focal point for Cybersecurity.  This role will engage with other Cyber areas including Cyber Architecture, Assurance, GRC and Threat and Defense functions. This individual should be able to integrate these functions into EDX as needed and align them with functional goals and deliverables.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner with the Enterprise Data Services team and business functions to understand their business requirements, critical data and systems and organizational strategy and support architectures that address RTX Cyber and Compliance proactively.
    • Participate in work intake reviews in order to identify Cyber engagement opportunities earlier in the project process.
    • Act as a Risk Manager for the Corporate function as it relates to the Enterprise Risk Management Process, collaborating with the Corporate and Enterprise Risk Management teams.
    • Assist in architecture and design of data infrastructure for the enterprise leveraging cloud and on prem capabilities as required.
    • Provide recommendations and assist in the evaluation and selection of cloud and on prem technologies for the data infrastructure environment.
    • Support development of RTX standard configuration guides for all systems to ensure environments are implemented securely and consistently, that these configurations are maintained through the lifecycle of the system and that proactive auditing capabilities are in place to identify deviations that may occur.
    • Drive implementation of key operational and security related practices into all services deployed with the goal of achieving an Enterprise service level.
    • Provide coordination for Cyber related incidents or activities (Red Team exercises) for all platforms deployed by EDX.
    • Work with other Corporate and Enterprise Cyber teams to have visibility into approved standards, cyber requirements and awareness of Enterprise initiatives in order to provide the most up to date guidance to the Corporate function for their work efforts.
    • Assess and characterize security risk for currently implemented systems and systems to be built. Recommend security risk mitigations and set the risk appetite level for the enterprise.
    • Participate and contribute to RTX cyber maturity activities and champion these activities on behalf of the Corporate functions.
    • Recommend security risk mitigations and set the risk appetite level for the Enterprise.
    • Perform system data categorization and apply security control frameworks corresponding to the level of data sensitivity.
    • Understand all RTX Cyber processes and provide guidance and support to functional area to navigate through these processes.
    • Collaborate with peers across RTX in security, solution, and technical architecture, with respect to the refinement & evolution of security architecture processes & practices, focused around TOGAF, DoDAF and Zachman frameworks.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 10 years experience within Information Security related roles
    • Hands on cloud architecture experience with AWS and Azure
    • Strong understanding of Network security, system / application security and data security
    • Strong understanding of databases and data structures
    • Experience with managing and securing containerization applications
    • Experience in Dev-ops practice and tooling, application security threat modelling & data security.
    • Experience working with standard Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, DODAF and/or Zachman
    • Familiarity with security control frameworks such as NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53 and ISO 27001

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with federal regulations including DFARS, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and FedRAMP
    • Experience in Data Governance
    • CISSP Certification
    • Strong communication skills including ability to write succinct briefings and presentations and present data to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
    • Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a highly matrixed environment to achieve group goals

    Education:

    • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 12 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 10 years experience

    The salary range for this role is 139,000 USD - 277,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
