Collins Aerospace is standing up a Digital Product Life Cycle (DPLC) Program Management Office (PMO) to lead the DPLC initiative at Collins. This is a critical initiative to the future of our business that will catalyze a business transformation. To build out and scale capabilities across Collins, Integrated Product Teams (IPT) / Agile Release Train (ART) are being stood up:
Digital Engineering
Product Lifecycle Management
Connected Operations
Manufacturing Execution Systems
Life Cycle Data Applications
The Data Services team has an immediate need for an Ontology Data Engineer to support activities for Life Cycle Data applications (e.g., Digital Thread). The Ontology Data Engineer will help enable the framework for Collins Aerospace product teams to make decisions early as they relate to product enhancements, quality, reliability, and serviceability. Product Lifecycle Data Applications will provide fleet-wide control and visibility over the full lifespan of any product under observation, allowing for a proactive approach to product management. Design change effectivity, system-level interactions, airline maintenance deviations, enhanced PHM, rapid fault isolation, and precise factory demand loading for replacement parts are only a fraction of the use cases that will be enabled by life cycle data applications. All of this will provide cost savings, enable revenue generation, or both as we use this capability to provide differentiated product designs, operational efficiencies, and best-in-class customer experiences.
This assignment will require the candidate to work seamlessly with members of the Data & Platforms organization and our business partners. As part of the Digital Technologies Data Services team, you will support the piloting (SBUs new to data applications), scaling / adoption of models and injection of developed models across Collins.
