The Project Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Digital Controls product line engineering team for the Pratt & Whitney Canada Programs business segment within Power and Controls. This team works a variety of different programs including software development, hardware improvements, obsolescence, and cyber security. The role is a great opportunity to foster customer collaboration and improve processes to meet the challenges of the future.
Eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Direct management of a team of 5-10 project engineering professionals
Lead the hardware and software development for electronic engine controls products
Responsible for all program phases from proposal development and product development through production and field support
Support implementation of digital controls product line strategic and technology advancement initiatives
Oversee management of program budgets and schedules
Predict and mitigate technical and programmatic risks
Communicate with engineering leadership, internal and external customers
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the Collins CMS Process including Gates 2-4
Understanding of hardware and software development process including DO-178 and DO-160
Previous project leadership experience with cross-functional teams
Earned Value Management Experience
