    Job Description

    Raytheon Technologies Corporation (RTX) is a leading aerospace and defense company that provides advanced systems and services for commercial, military and government customers worldwide.     Join a team of research, design, build, and integration technologists focused on the execution of RTX strategy to transform and consolidate Datacenters across the enterprise.  The Datacenter team supports the company's growth by building and operating hyper-scale datacenters, managing the life cycle of server & storage farm, providing private cloud solutions, and developing scalable and reliable infrastructure services. In the leadership role, the individual will collaborate across the enterprise and with each business unit ensuring all stakeholders are aligned to deliver business value per project scope. This person will leverage subject matter expertise, business acumen, financial analysis, and other competencies to develop business case for transformational initiatives. The individual will work with senior leadership, business units, program / project Managers, engineering teams, operations, vendors, MSPs to develop to execute the organizational objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    Leverage technical abilities and expertise, to Identify and build large transformational programs and initiatives across Infrastructure that scale Datacenter footprint efficiently

    Develop Datacenter strategies and roadmap to drive improvements in reliability and achieve cost and operational efficiencies, reduce deployment times, improvements in data center power utilization, and service placement optimizations. Reduce network, hardware and DC infrastructure footprints and drive TCO and savings

    Manage Datacenter financials including annual operating cost, cost allocations, project cost and synergy targets

    Liaise with architecture and engineering team to drive solution that meet enterprise hosting requirements

    Review MSP service level agreements, performance reviews and financials

    Collaborate with infrastructure and application leaders across enterprise and align on objectives

    Develop detailed project evaluation plans for data center plan changes and set the pace to drive closure

    Communicate strategy for datacenter continuous improvement which includes executive level and detailed project briefs and status updates

    Drive new project evaluations, technology reviews, challenge proposals and build consensus

    Develop, define, and execute project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, resources, budgets, and deliverables

    Manage project risks, issues/problems, and activity progress to ensure project goals (e.g., deadline, scope, and quality) are achieved

    Assign and monitor work of project team, providing technical and analytical support and direction

    Manage the integration of vendor/subcontractor tasks as well as track and review vendor/subcontractor deliverables

    Directly oversee employees assigned to project. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

    Consistently set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale among team members

    Successfully maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    12+ years of experience working in Datacenter/Cloud with a background in strategy, engineering and capacity planning

    Technical experience in infrastructure and cloud/datacenter projects, experience with optimization initiatives

    Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities to engage with colleagues to maintain a culture of continuous improvement

    Strong project management and organizational skills

    Knowledgeable of project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be able to meet short deadlines promptly with quality

    Excellent analysis, problem-solving, conflict management, and time management skills

    Education:  

    • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
