The Interiors Division of Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies business, is looking for an EH&S Manager for its Medley, FL (Miami area) location!  The successful candidate be able to work autonomously with little direct oversight to accomplish work tasks.

This role acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans, procedures, and providing EH&S Program Management, has responsibility for multiple EH&S specialties, may perform tasks associated with Health/Safety and Environmental/Compliance, and coordinates with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices. Other responsibilities include organizing and maintaining EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations and will manage relationships across other functions and departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and RTX requirements

Acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures including EH&S Program Management. Has responsibility for multiple EH&S specialties. May perform tasks associated with Health/Safety and Environmental/Compliance. Coordinates with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices. May have responsibility for facilities and/or medical at a site. Organizes and maintains EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations. Manages relationships across other specialized departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and RTX requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Has responsibility for multiple EH&S programs and specialties at the site
• Acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering plans and procedures including Program Management
• Collaborates with Site Leadership to integrate EH&S performance into site business activities
• Develop the site EH&S Annual Plan in partnership with site leadership to drive the strategy of the EH&S function at the site, including a tactical plan to achieve results
• Organize, maintain, & communicate EH&S policies to ensure compliance with Lega, RTX, & Collins rules and regulations
• Drives EH&S regulatory reporting requirements. Responsible for appropriate procedures, approvals, coordination and control of EH&S Regulations applicable to the site
• Analyze leading and lagging performance indicators
• Support the investigation, root cause analysis, and development of corrective actions for incidents
• Use the EHS Smart reporting system to maintain information
• Support the completion of audits & inspections. Present findings at to the site EH&S Management Committee
• Coordinates with business partners for EH&S the concerns
• Perform various tasks associated with EH&S Compliance, and Management Systems
• Collaborate with site leadership to maintain of the RTX EH&S Management System
• Facilitate the development and completion of activities of EH&S subcommittees
• Support the development of a positive EH&S culture
• Participate in site and business meetings to discuss EH&S performance and improvement plans
• May develop materials, implement, and deliver various EH&S trainings
• May be asked to be flexible to take on additional assignments

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, AIHA, EPA, and DOT requirements, including those specific to the State of Florida
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Suite) are essential.
• Influencing and negotiating skills.
• Bilingual – English & Spanish
