This position is for an Electrical or Computer Engineer Co-Op that will be involved in the design, implementation, verification and integration of a wide variety of high-performance digital systems that incorporate ASICs, FPGAs, and MPSOCs into a product solution. As an engineer in this organization, you will be employing best practice design methodologies supporting our next generation of Avionics Products, in addition to numerous products enterprise-wide.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Regardless of your role type, collaboration and innovation are critical to our business and all employees will have access to digital tools so they can work with colleagues around the world – and access to Collins sites when their work requires in-person meetings.
ASIC/FPGA digital design
VHDL coding for design, System Verilog coding for test bench development
Certification of hardware in compliance with DO-254
Use of FPGA specific tools (e.g. Vitis, Vivado, Libero, and Quartus)
Use of ASIC specific tools (e.g., Synopsys Design Compiler, Cadence Conformal LEC)
Knowledge of data interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, CDN, ARINC-429...)
Use of configuration control tools (e.g.Subversion)
Use of ASIC/FPGA simulation tools such as Questasim.
Perform timing analysis and achieve timing closure
Knowledge of Linux, scripting, C/C++, Python, and/or Perl.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Must be a US Citizen
