Electrical- Engineer II (Onsite)

Job Description:

This opening is to fill a RFIC Validation/DVT Engineer role for the Microelectronic Products Department within the Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) business.

The candidate will be involved with test plan development/execution, bench setup, and equipment/setup calibration for characterization, validating, analyzing data, and writing test reports for state-of-the-art RFICs/MMICs.  Adherence to best test practices as well as high quality validation techniques, and completion of projects within budget and schedule targets are expected.

Note: This position is located in El Segundo CA.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in microwave/RF/Mixed-signal device bring-up and validation

• Understanding of RF/mm Wave circuit components

• Working knowledge of test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators

• Understanding of S-parameters and compression measurements

• Experience developing characterization plans and procedures, evaluation hardware and test reports

• Proficient in C/C++, MATLAB, or Python programming

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of phase noise, NF, intercept point, and de-embedding highly desirable

• Background and experience in software/software control of lab equipment

• Experience automating tests and data acquisition highly desirable

• Working knowledge of RF power meters and analytical probers

• Good problem solving and planning skills highly desirable

• Strong sense of urgency and ownership 

Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline and 2 years of relevant experience or a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
