    Position summary

    for components (Digital Motor Controller Assemblies, Component layout on Printed Circuit Board, Signal and Power Harnesses) and subsystems of integrated Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) that conforms to Collins technical standards and customer specifications.

    • Provide Model Based Definition using Creo 8 and Windchill 11 in the design of fabricated Motor Controller housings and electro-mechanical assemblies.
    • Perform preliminary or sizing structural analysis in support of design definition generation.
    • Perform Steinberg Vibration Analysis on Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.
    • Generate CAD model inputs for the structural analysis discipline.
    • Perform stress and load combinations to determine analytical verification of compliance to customer factor of safety requirements and document .

    Qualifications/Experience Needed:

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
    • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in the design, development, and qualification of space qualified ECLSS, thermal management, or similarly complex electro-mechanical systems
    • Exceptional organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with Product Line Management (PLM) solutions (https://e.g., Windchill) Creo 8 or greater.
