Our Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance Systems (ISRS) Metrology Department has an immediate opportunity for an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) & Metrology Technician to perform ESD verifications and Calibrations at the system and component level. 

The ESD & Metrology Technician will join a Metrology Team responsible for maintaining the quality standards of Production and Engineering programs.  The ESD & Metrology Technician will collaborate with other Metrology team members as well as with program representatives to calibrate, verify, and troubleshoot equipment, test stations, or hardware.  The ESD & Metrology Technician will cross-train with other members of the Metrology Team to help broaden knowledge and impact.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience (or equivalent) to include Systems/Hardware integration and troubleshooting.
• Analyze and solve system technical problems
• Communicate issues to the engineering team
• Strong foundation in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), electrical hardware, and test equipment
• Perform troubleshooting, and analysis working with multiple program teams
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly, strong decision-making and thrive in a dynamic team environment
• Test, analyze, and troubleshoot hardware, develop testing criteria, and evaluate complex issues discovered during testing  
• Perform post-test execution analysis to verify and validate functionality
• Provide detailed reports of test results
• Investigate innovative opportunities to increase team analysis efficiency
• Willingness to travel periodically in support of offsite testing
• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:

• Active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance
• Knowledge of ESD and Calibration practices
• QMS and Asset Management best practices
• Experience/Knowledge with general laboratory test setup and Special Test Equipment (Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.)
• Analytical and technical problem-solving skills
• System testing in an integration lab environment
• Willingness to travel periodically in support of offsite testing

Required Education:

Typically requires a High School Degree/GED with 6+ years of relevant job related experience

Desired Education:

Associate degree in Electronics or other STEM related technical degree such as Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline with 6+ years of relevant job related experience
