Role Overview:
The Senior Principal Embedded Software Verification Engineer will be responsible for software test architecture, verification methodologies, and testing of our suite of aerospace products.

Job Description and Duties:

• Experience in airborne DO-178 DAL-B software engineering
• Experience with software project management
• Architect software test environments and methodologies with a focus on model-based development and verification
• Perform coverage analysis of software
• Understand microprocessor design and implementation
• Troubleshooting of complex software issues
• Exceptional oral and communication skills up and down the organization
• Strong organization and multi-task skills
• Keen interest in Aerospace

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in design, test and release of D0-178B/C products and tool qualification
• Experience in embedded software with SoC, ARM, and DSP experience highly desirable
• Simulink Modeling and code generation and/or DO-331
• Firmware experience a plus
• Hardware in the loop experience
• Experience with emulators
• Experience using software lifecycle management tools
