Department Overview
This job requires employee to work onsite at the PW facility.
Model Based Design and Model Based Systems Engineering of Gas Turbine and Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems including fuel systems and fuel control systems, air control systems, fueldraulic and electric actuation systems. Development and validation of multivariable controls, state estimation and FDA algorithms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implementation, and validation of multivariable controls and state estimation systems and software from concept through engine test and entry into service.
Root cause analysis and corrective action for control system integration, test, and field issues.
Rapid development of control software solutions to emerging hardware issues.
Innovation and intellectual property generation.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; OR Master's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
Possession of an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Fluent in English (verbal/written)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with linear control systems theory (state space and frequency domain).
Experience in Physics-based modeling (propulsion systems, fuel systems, air systems, thermal management), Numerical methods theory for linear algebra and differential. equation solutions, Probability theory, Uncertainty propagation in dynamical systems, State estimation, Model predictive control, Quadratic programming and general optimization theory.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs
or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior
relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
