Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace is looking for an Engineer II, Software Engineering in Melbourne, Florida.

Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, document, test and debug control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.
Ensure hardware and software standards are met.
Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use, which includes control modeling (model-based design).
Measure and analyze software designs for equipment/products to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.
Build and implement procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and functions.
Operate equipment and computer systems for testing and software design purposes to facilitate to facilitate operations and sure that established objects are achieved.
Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determine end user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.
Required Qualifications:
Must have at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Must have demonstrable knowledge of the following, either through experience (such as an internship, training, or working experience) or completion of at least one college-level course:
the full lifecycle software development process (software requirements, design, development, implementation, and verification);
safety critical embedded software development for Avionics/Aerospace domain; and
real time operating systems.
