Job Summary:
We are currently hiring an Engineering Fellow in the Systems Security Engineering Department of the Systems organization located in Tucson, AZ.  

We are looking for highly motivated systems engineers interested in developing Anti-Tamper (AT) and Cybersecurity systems solutions to protect the US warfighter’s technology advantage. The position requires strong systems security engineering skills that will be used to lead and oversee engineering development of innovative products and systems. The subject matter expert (SME) will engage multiple organizations within Raytheon, as well as external to Raytheon, to develop and implement strategy to grow business in key areas. The SME will be responsible for developing solutions that will satisfy all Customer requirements and standardizing the processes for these solutions.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Perform SSE SME role across numerous programs to ensure architectures satisfy all requirements and stakeholders
  • Manage and lead efforts to develop new products/components that will result in new business opportunities for the company.
  • Lead the development of requirements and the implementation of the design of advanced new products.
  • Ability to shape the strategic direction of the business and make sound business decisions
  • Personally models and fosters a culture of ethical behavior
  • Designs, researches, and develops highly advanced new applications resulting in new product / business opportunities for the company.
  • Coaches, teaches, and mentors to encourage and accelerate talent growth
  • Acts independently and pro-actively seeks to uncover and resolve issues
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with Customers and Raytheon leadership
  • Consistently assess risk and opportunities to the development effort an implement effective mitigation plans

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 10 years of prior relevant experience.  In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Twelve (12) years of relevant experience in the field of systems engineering and experience with developing AT- Anti Tamper or related solutions.
  • Active and transferable https://U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. https://U.S. citizenship is required, as only https://U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidate must exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness, integrity, and teaming skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with coworkers, suppliers, management, and customers in a team environment
  • Master’s Degree or https://Ph.D preferred in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Science, and/or Robotics
  • Twenty (20) years of prior relevant systems engineering experience in Systems Security & AT- Anti Tamper solutions preferred
  • In-depth electrical design experience, including Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) development.
  • In-depth experience in design, development and fielding of AT systems for embedded military applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of program protection concepts, reverse engineering tools and techniques, failure analysis, and cryptography. Understanding of and experience in engineering security solutions for Government customers.
  • Experience in solutions meeting Special Access Programs / Special Access Required (SAP/SAR) system requirements
  • Work experience in the fields of computer technology, systems engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, reverse engineering, or anti-tamper related to embedded systems
  • Familiarity with failure effects analysis and tools
  • Technology development, data fusion, experience in understanding and implementing https://DODI-S-5230.28
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret.  DoD Top Secret clearance desired with current SSBI within last 5 years.  Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD
