    Job Summary:

    The Engineering Finance Lead Data Analyst reports into the Engineering Finance organization and is responsible for developing sustainable financial metrics and analytic solutions for Engineering financial reporting. The role partners with Engineering Execution and Workforce Planning, Human Resources Workforce Intelligence, and FP&A to optimize the data structure, enable accurate labor supply forecasting, provide value added analysis, and drive predictable workforce and cost metrics. 

    The position is being offered as hybrid and can be performed near any RMD location with Tewksbury, MA and Tucson, AZ as preferred locations.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Provide financial data and analytics for Engineering metrics and partner in the development of automated reporting capabilities
    • Support Operational Workforce Planning process as the Engineering Execution Finance primary point of contact
    • Support identification of key engineering labor dependencies, risks, and opportunities
    • Partner with Mission Area finance teams to understand Engineering labor demand for analysis to Engineering supply projections
    • Support the collection, analysis, and utilization of Engineering labor and financial metrics
    • Identify improvement opportunities in key processes, implement solutions to drive efficiency and accuracy
    • Develop and present financial overview for Engineering labor supply, demand, and other key Engineering Finance execution metrics

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
    • Experience with SAP, Analysis for Office, O365, Tableau, Alteryx and/or similar business intelligence applications
    • Prior experience in forecasting, planning, and analysis (FP&A), preferably in aerospace and defense industry, with experience supporting annual operating plan, long range plan, quarterly operation reviews, labor projections and financial forecast applications

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Experience with labor forecasting, modeling, and software applications
    • Experience comprehending, explaining, and implementing Finance, Engineering, and Program Management policies and processes
    • Experience analyzing financial forecasts and labor metrics
    • Experience working in a collaborative environment and experience with financial application and forecasting and analytical tool suites
    • Ability to create and present reports for internal / external reviews and present to various levels of leadership
    • Proficient financial acumen blended with business partnership and leadership
    • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience managing multiple priorities
    • Ability to succeed in a results-oriented environment and drive solutions for complex problems
    • Experience developing financial models, baseline metrics, and data-driven improvement initiatives
    • Prior experience supporting investment initiatives (capital, research and development, selling)
